Golden Horn



Special impressions of the Golden Horn,,, I could not
miss to show some of my lights test pictures works
I did last days from the balcony where I live.
Big Mosque and old city, Eminonü. Amazing and
mesmerizing Istanbul.

MASSIAS SHOWROOM

I got the job to execute the autumm-winter showroom
for a fashion accessories shop. The showroom was set
up in a white walls gallery.
As usual in my works I didn't buy any material for making
the interior instead I used recicled cotton fabric from an
old clothes factory.
One part of the instalation was made with fabric strips of
diferents colours at the walls, and at the end of the room
I created a close round form, kind of haima made with
woollen scarfs, hats, gloves and green fluorescent light.

PLANETA LOVE // show

Some weeks ago I made an small installation in a

corner inside a bar in barcelona, where I showed

part of my last work.

This summer that its allready gone,,, I produce

some sculptures in my grandfather's atelier,,,

beautiful place. Things as plastic protector for

fruit boxes, drawingpins, small pieces of aluminum,

colour tape, roppes, peaces from computer, screws,

and more.

Love people who came to enjoy the planet.

PATCHWORLD // exhibition

Wandergallery gave me the oportunity to work

for 2 weeks and a half in EOI (escola oficial de Idiomes),

and it was fantastic. I was going everyday in the morning

and leaving in the night, doing my art in the corridors,

meeting the students, talking to them and beeing inspired

from the way they behave.

All the materials I used for the installation were from and

old textil factory that had to close down. I arrived to the

school one morning with all the stuff, having only some ideas

in my head. That's the reason I really enjoyed doing this

work-in-progress.

One part of the installation it's made it with

cardboard textil samples, they are very old,

and most of the patterneted very funny,

have a look.

...doing lines with the cardboard samples at the

corridors walls, clossing somehow the toilets and

the classroom doors, some of the students didn't

know what to do.... just first day.

In one wall it's this big fish made it with fabric

samples, they were used for the sweaters sellers,

they could show to the clients the material.

In the last room of the installation I inspired myself

with a kind of Haima, I wanted to give to the students

the oportunity to relax and enjoy the class breaks,

making them to feel good and positive, with a special

energy, created because of the falling threads, the

fabric samples and the fluorescent red-pink light.

My intention after this good-positive feeling it's to

make them thinking about this new place, that is

completly diferent that what they could expect.

The bench and the paper basket aswell covered

with fabric sample, I really love to see people

smilling and surprise.

The floor looks pretty warm and confortable,

ready to lie down.

ACTION ZEITUNG PAINTING // 48 Stunden

I made this instalation as an Action painting, open to everybody
who felt to paint and wanted to express oneself to the others.

It was in the 48 Stunden Neukölln Festival in berlin, they gave me
a 40 sq/m basement very dirty and humid, I didn't have any

money to invest....this is how I dicided to use newspaper, aswell

because in Deutschland some of the newspapers haven a

very beauty and well-made pictures.

I used for this work a lot of newspapers, glue, rubish bags,

eggs boxes, cardboard, plastic colour rope, paint and plaster.

Openning party was fun, people were using

the newspapers walls, painting and writting

the feelings. I was happy to see that!

FREE ART EXHIBITION

pa tothom

This work was made in Pa tothom (theatre school) in barcelona.

This people make a social theatre that help other people to

resolve social problems. They gave me the entrance room to use.

I made a kind of Square, a reunion place for the students and visitors.

The instalation is made with used material, and parts of

decorations I did use when I was working as a windowdresser.

I used cartoon found in the street, colour light, diferents

plastic objects like dolls, chrisma's stuff, etc... red fabric,

adhesive tape, colour plastic sheet, optical paper and more.

OPEN STUDIOS EXHIBITION

I been three years working in taller-studio in barcelona in

a old factory in the neigthborhood of Gracia. I was sharing

space and creativity with fiftheen artists more, it was for me

the start of a view about life and art.

The following pictures are the exhibition we made inside our

working-comun space.

I made a work in the toilet, in the entrance stairs aswell

I put an sculpture in the room.

In the toilet I used a plastic containers covered in tape,

gold sheen fabric and a Picasso with bathrobe picture.

All this material was allready used in my windowdresser

jobs.

In the entrance I used green fluorescent ligth, colour plastic

sheets and tape.

The flying sculpture is made with wire, cotton fabric, fluor

paint and red vinyl fabric.

PAPER / CARDBOARD AND LIGHT

I made this colaboration for a second

time with Cue berlin, the event was in

Hooker Projects in kreuzberg. we used

toilet paper and film projector.

This is a very simple idea, close to what

children could do. It's a light sculpture

made with found cardboard box, colour

sheet transparent plastic, diferents plastic

recycling packets and light bulbs. 170x80x30

THEATERKAPELLE

olaf bruhl

During my first summer in berlin I meet Olaf Brühl, he loves

literature and Theater. In this times he was preparing a

Tennesse Williams performance in a very special place called

Theaterkapelle (small church, now use for performance and art)
in the neightborhood of Friedrichshain. He ask me to collaborate,
helping him with the set.

As usual it was no money, well we can say less money more
creativity!!

So, I use the church benchs for the scenery, turning and

leaving them in a vertical position, looking like a huges columns.

The best are the holes from where the light comes from behind.

RELIGION

This work I made it for shop in barcelona,,

I created a religious atmosphere with a lot of

postcards of differents virgin laying them out

in a cross, aswell I used a big picture of one

of the virgins in one of the windows. For the

background and the flour I put red fabric.

And for creating a great ambient I used red

church candles with special light.

SPIRAL // Using lights

I done this window with a thin wood structure lined with
red shiny patent leather fabric. The form came to my mind
like an square spiral . Im really pleaset with the form result,
could be aswell a kind of "e".
I used chrisma's tube lights, yellow and I placed them aligned
The result in the end was a moving one direction discontinuos
light form.
This is one of my favourites projects I've made.
