ONADES FLORALS // Outdoors intervention

This spring I have participated in a Outdoors flowers
Festival in Calella, a beautiful small town in Costa
Brava in Catalonia.
It was about to decorate the walking way around
the Hotel Sant Roc and the courtyard terrace.
I made an ephemeral instalation with a base
of big plane flowers lined with severals colour
ful prints.
The intention was to acompany the visitors to
the terrace pèrgola decoration.
The instalation starts with a big waves painted
with sprai, as a graffitti in the both sides of
the narrow street. The waves converted to
flowers in a sort of tunnel, made with textil
colours strips, all the way is decorate with big
flowers till we arrive to the garden Hotel,
where we found the pèrgola, and the trees with
more flowers.
I create a colourful and elegant ambientation for
costumers and visitors to this beautiful old
and familiar Hotel, that has the best views of
Calella.
This time I had the nice pictures made by
Ju Uroz, I want to thank for the colaboration.

WINDOW Intervention // Barcelona

Born to be

Some weeks ago I was commissioned to design and make
an special window for a new openning shop.
The idea was to take the attention of the pedestrians.
Before the shop was a fruit store and the new owners with
some art and design help converted the shop in a new born
babies store.
We thought in a strong, direct and funny phrase to make
people stop on the window shop, making then curious about
the new openning.
In spanish the verb "parir" means to give a birth but aswell
is a swearword. So, we use the verb in a double meaning.
The tape window installation was on for the time that last the
shop decoration, for the oppening day I changed the phrase
for a new one that says that we have allready given birth.

MAPS OF ISTANBUL

Istanbul

Istanbul

Istanbul

Im since one month in a new warm city, discovering
other views and ways of living....
where I live has 7 floors and a big highway in front is
crossing the city in the european side.
I got inspired by contructing a map of this huge place,
the sea and watter sorround the city, I took some
time to understand the city shape.
I collected plastics shop bags, flyers and catalogs
from museums in Istanbul to created this map-structure.
The base is made of found cardboard.
The collage-structure is suspended in the air, having in the
bottom view of the city, which is building a super hotel.

STRIPS // Drapart festival barcelona

strips

My last street intervention STRIPS speaks about
the forgotten old objects and materials, about our
memory and how far we can remember the feeling,
the touch and the smell of somethings that never will
come back again.
I' ve been inside the old jerseys factory where I took
the fabric peaces, was so touching and amazing, some
fabric machines still left with the material still attached
to the machine, aswell I found so many sample books
and other amazing things. There was no artificial light,
only the light coming from the windows, a large round
spinning machine was in the middle of the huge and
beautifull grey room. I won't forget the sensation to be
there. Now its a forgotten place, but I could feel all the
fabric and material sorrounding me as if they were
completly alive.

MARKET PLACE // cornellà

street market

Last month I was commissioned to intervene a market
stall. At that moment the place its empty but once was
a butcher. The market people wanted me to make
something nice in the empty stall.
In the market are about 40 stalls, I ask each one to
give me a bag or paper where his business name was
writte. I cuted them and put in a round gold paper, which
is used in bakeries. For the instalation I held them with
decorative strips.
The idea was to put all the stall's name in the instalation so
all the market stalls were advertised and to have representation.
At the end look like medals.

MASSIAS SHOWROOM

dkdkdkdkd

I got the job to execute the autumm-winter showroom
for a fashion accessories shop. The showroom was set
up in a white walls gallery.
As usual in my works I didn't buy any material for making
the interior instead I used recicled cotton fabric from an
old clothes factory.
One part of the instalation was made with fabric strips of
diferents colours at the walls, and at the end of the room
I created a close round form, kind of haima made with
woollen scarfs, hats, gloves and green fluorescent light.

PAPELITOS // bulevar tanger

I made this work in a huge terrace in tanger, morocco.
I recieved a present from a friend, Ana, who gave me
paper colour notes, she was using them for writting ideas,
I put them in the no-writted side and I created a kind of
net, what I wanted obtain its to put colour in a amazing
white view of the city. Aswell giving volum and making
the sculpture strong at the sight but very light in the touch.

AND'ART tanger // exhibition

And'art, that means visions in Arabic it's a new itinerant
art-music festival in Morocco. In this first edition the
festival has been happening in the city of Tanger. We
were a total of 20 participants counting musicians,
filmmakers, photografers, painters and sculptors. Was so
good to be together with people from differents nationalities,
including of courses moroccans artists. In my group we were
4 people, for some days we moved around the city and
discussed and talked about our impression and feelings.
Next we started working in a project together and
aswell in a individual piece.

The two pictures above are from the market called
"Casabarata", It was amazing for me to discovered,
I love this place, you can find everything, full of energy.
I spoke to some people from there and they told me
more about the place. Three months ago, in the night
some diggers came and pulled down parts of the market,
nobody could tell me why they did it. The first picture
shows how is the situation now. The consequence is that
some people are looking in the ruins trying to find metal
or things which they can sell.
This is how I started recollecting and looking for materials
and objects for my individual piece.

So many children came to see the exhibition,
was really good to see them looking the pieces.
In the schools they don't have any art subject.
For "Casabarata" piece I used found objects,
colour ropes, part of old tree, wire, potato
wrapers and biscuits.

This work its called "Awama" because it's the
name of the area close to theatre Mohamed
Haddad, where we were working.
All the parts of this sculptur are from around
the theater.
